*Environmental conditions may vary from site to site. Expect longer set time during cold or humid weather, or thicker coat of solvent cement applied.

Ideal for bonding and coupling of rigid PVC-U / PVC pipes and fittings up to 100 mm diameter in plumbing systems. Upon full cure, it is safe for potable water pressure systems, irrigation, wastewater, sanitary pipes, industrial pipe, and electrical conduit, etc.

* Users are responsible to carry out test prior to installation to confirm compatibility with actual substrates, work conditions, and service requirements.
  1. Remove grease, oil, water, frost or dirt adherent to the mating surfaces (i.e. outside of pipe end, inside of fitting). Pipe ends must be cut square, deburred and chamfered. Roughen mating surfaces to the full depth of fitting using medium glass paper or emery cloth.
  2. Measure the fitting insertion depth (i.e. the bond length) and mark it on the pipe end, so that application of sufficient amount of solvent cement and complete insertion of the pipe to the fitting can be ascertained. Ensure interference fit of pipe and fitting. Pipe should be easily inserted 1/3 to 2/3 of the way into the fitting. If pipe bottoms inside the fitting hub without interference, there may not be proper fusion.
  3. Stir or shake before using; do not use if jelly-like. Do not thin.
  4. Use a dry and clean brush for application. First, apply a thin coat of solvent cement inside the fitting to prevent formation of beads inside the pipe later. Then, apply a generous coat to the pipe end.
  5. Immediately insert the pipe into the fitting to full depth, without twisting. Hold firmly for 30 seconds to allow initial bonding, then remove excess solvent cement. Do not disturb for at least 15 minutes. Leave longer time if temperature is below 10°C. When the pipes and fittings are assembled, the dissolved surfaces mix and produce a chemically welded joint upon curing.
  6. Wait for 24 hours before filling the pipes or performing leak tests (up to a test pressure of 1.5 x PN). It is recommended to flush the pipelines thoroughly to remove residual solvent vapours before operation.
  7. Tightly close containers while not in use to avoid solvent evaporation and thickening.

  • Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Causes skin irritation.  Causes serious eye irritation. Harmful if swallowed. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. May cause respiratory irritation. Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child. May cause damage to the nervous system through prolonged or repeated exposure by inhalation.

  • Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, static charge, or hot surfaces. No smoking. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Ground container and receiving equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Use explosion-proof electrical, ventilating, lighting equipment. Accumulated solvent vapours and explosive mixtures must be removed prior to welding. Fill the pipes with water, flush and purge them well. Do not close / seal the pipes while drying. Avoid breathing mist or vapor. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye-protection, and face protection. Wear a NIOSH approved respirator for organic solvents. Vapor may accumulate in low places and may ignite explosively. Long term over exposure to solvents may cause damage to the brain, nervous system, reproductive system, respiratory system, mucous membranes, liver and kidneys. Repeated exposure to solvents may cause skin dryness or cracking. As precaution, protective gloves should be worn to avoid skin contact and maximum cleanliness should be observed. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water for 15 minutes and then obtain medical advice. Never use PVC piping systems with compressed air or gas.

  • Keep out of reach of children. Safety data sheet available on request. For further health and safety information, please refer to the latest Safety Data Sheet.

NOT recommended for the following:

  • Non-PVC-U/PVC materials
  • Dilution with thinner / solvents after thickening
