NEMPAL® 140 Awning & Roofing Caulk

Classic Awning & Roofing Sealant

A classic one-component caulking sealant formulated specifically for sealing awning & roofing components. It bonds a variety of common constructions materials, be it porous or non-porous, and thus it works well in various situations encountered during awning & roofing installation works, as there could be various substrates like metals, concrete, mortar, bricks, woods, painted surfaces, etc. with different substrate porosity, conditions and shapes.

The product also exhibits low shrinkage, outstanding durability, and great gunning and tooling characteristics, making application works effective. After 24 hours of application, only a surface skin will be formed on the exterior of sealant, while the interior remains soft and non-drying permanently.

It may be used for sealing awning frame-to-wall gaps, overlapped roofing sheets, roofing fasteners, or gaps and joints where there are either no movements or very slight movements anticipated (less than +/-3% of joint width). Typical applications include:

  • Awning
  • Metal Roofing
  • Canopy
  • Gutter
  • Roof Flashing
* Users are responsible to carry out test prior to installation to confirm compatibility with actual substrates, work conditions, and service requirements.
  1. Remove all residual dirt, grease, oil, frost, water, and old sealant thoroughly.
  2. Cut the nozzle to desired bead width at 45° angle, screw it onto cartridge and place cartridge into caulking gun to apply sealant.
  3. Apply the sealant in continuous and consistent manner to avoid gap or air trap.
  4. Tool the sealant before it skins for a smooth finish, and to ensure proper adhesion by wetting the substrates
  5. Clean off sealant excess with mineral spirit.
  • Store properly in a dry and well-ventilated place with temperature below +30°C.
  • Use within 24 months from date of production.
  • Cartridge – 400 ml (24 cartridges / carton)

  • For health and safety information, please refer to the latest Safety Data Sheet.

NOT recommended for the following applications:

  • Traffic areas subject to abrasion.
